Our story

The water connects us.
The tools should too.

A passage touches more than the helm. It involves crew, guests, dock teams, service companies and the places that welcome a vessel. InteliMARIS™ brings those working lives into a connected ecosystem, with WaterWayz™ as the boater-facing experience.

InteliMarine LLC does business as InteliMARIS. It is the company behind WaterWayz™, the connected vessel systems and the developing marina and geospatial capabilities.

Our approach

Clarity earns trust.

A reading should state its age. An unknown should remain unknown. A planned feature should be described as planned. Every guide separates the workflow you can use from the work still ahead.

The people behind the platform

Our team

Ron Bishop

Chief Executive Officer

Ron Bishop is a seasoned entrepreneur and innovator with a long history in GPS, location-based services and connected technologies. As a founder of Procon, he helped pioneer GPS-based asset tracking and communications systems and is a named inventor on numerous U.S. patents. An experienced boating captain and pilot, Ron brings a firsthand understanding of navigation to his role as CEO of InteliMARIS, where he is leading the vision behind InteliMARIS and WaterWAYZ and a smarter, more connected boating experience.

Tristan Mullane

Product development

Tristan Mullane has spent more than 30 years developing, manufacturing and bringing products to market. As head of Xena Security USA, he built extensive experience in motorcycle security, product development and international manufacturing. He later founded MaxGreen LED and is a named inventor on multiple U.S. patents. Tristan is now focused entirely on InteliMARIS, leading the development of its products and helping turn the WaterWAYZ vision into reality.

John X

John X

Systems and communications

John X is a systems engineer and communications specialist with more than 30 years designing, installing and troubleshooting electronics and communications aboard commercial, cruise and military vessels, in more than 120 countries. At Harris Corporation he was a maritime field engineer and then Field Operations Supervisor, coordinating hundreds of satellite communications installations worldwide; at L3 Communications he was a Staff Test and Field Engineer on military RF, radio, networking and satellite systems, holding a Department of Defense Secret clearance. Through Marine Xtronics he now works on the InteliMARIS hardware: radio networks, embedded electronics, switching, power and battery management, positioning and vessel monitoring. The principle has not changed: understand the technology, make it work at sea, and use it to solve real problems for people on the water.

Sam Skolnik

Design and brand

Sam Skolnik is a designer, creator and entrepreneur who loves turning ideas into something real. After working as an interior designer in London, she founded oogaa® in 2011, creating and patenting a range of fun, thoughtful products for children. Today, Sam is having fun rediscovering oogaa® through animation, while taking on her next big adventure: helping build InteliMARIS and bring WaterWAYZ to market.

Yevgen Trotsan

Yevgen Trotsan

Technical lead

Yevgen Trotsan is a software engineer and technical lead with more than fifteen years of building systems that have to keep running. Based in Hong Kong since 2010, he has delivered platforms across banking, logistics, government and renewable energy in Ukraine, Europe and Asia, including logistics and delivery systems for DPD and Chronopost and technology for the Maximal Concepts restaurant group. As Director and Technical Lead at Anthill, he is known for pragmatic delivery, careful integration and systems that stay maintainable after launch. At InteliMARIS he builds the platform and the WaterWAYZ apps.

Gary Stidston-Broadbent

Software and systems

Gary Stidston-Broadbent is a software engineer based in Hong Kong, and co-founder and managing director of Blank Canvas Limited. His work runs from the low end of the stack upward: an operating system written in assembly, window-management tooling for X11, a schema-free database, and robotics experiments with GPS, Bluetooth and servo control. He brings that depth to the platform behind InteliMARIS and WaterWayz, where the software has to keep running on a boat, out of reach of anyone who can restart it.
